Directions & Public Transport

If you're planning on paying us a visit, hopefully it won't come as a huge surprise to you that we're not smack bang in the middle of Wellington City!
In fact our brewery is about a 50 minute drive outside of central Wellington in a town called Paraparaumu in the Kapiti area, which is part of Greater Wellington.

The brewery's address is:

7 Sheffield Street,
Paraparaumu 5032.
Kapiti

Public Transport

If you don't have wheels, or if you're planning on drinking beer out here (it IS a brewery after all), then there are public transport options from central Wellington that will bring you pretty much right outside our door!

Step 1. WELLINGTON to PARAPARAUMU STATION

Firstly you'll need to catch a train to Paraparaumu from Wellington Railway Station.
The train service to catch is the Kapiti Line (KPL), which leaves Wellington every half hour at '14' and '44' past the hour. You will need to disembark at the second to last stop at Paraparaumu Station.
The timetable for this route can be viewed here.

There are a variety of ticket options. Each way is $11, or for $14 you can get a single-person 'Day Rover' which will get you unlimted trips all day on the trains. If you have 3 or 4 people in your group, then we recommend you get a 'Group Rover' for $40, which will get you all out to the brewery and back to Wellington. If you have cash you can buy your tickets on the train from the conductor - if not, you'll need to grab them at the station before boarding.

Step 2. PARAPARAUMU STATION to TUATARABREWERY

Once you've made it to Paraparaumu station you can either catch a bus or walk down Kapiti Road to the Brewery.

The walk will take about 20 minutes. You can view walking directions here.

If you prefer, or if the weather's bad, you can instead catch the '261 Paraparaumu Beach' bus from Paraparaumu Station.
You should disembark the bus at Stop# 1204 'Te Roto Drive at Kapiti Road', which is a couple minutes walk from the brewery.
